From the model or existing nesting data to G-code for 4-head CNC machines, with labels, a labelling map and an edge drilling report.
- Nests panels straight from the model: deducts edge banding, keeps orientation, puts the face with most operations on top
- Thickness taken from the model, not the file name; drill centres calculated from the circle geometry
- Cutting order by rule: drilling → small round holes → main cutter → final cut-off
- Common-line cutting and automatic bridge cut-off, on by default
- Small parts near the edge: outer edges cut first, inner edge last
- Bad data (misplaced hole, tool too deep, missing tool) blocks the export and shows where
- Labels show part shape, edge banding and edge holes; design your own label by drag and drop
- 2D/3D toolpath simulation before running the machine
Limitations: Post-processor available for 1 machine line (4-head CNC, 1220 × 2440 boards). Some items not yet signed off separately on the machine: V-bit, printing on the thermal printer, J-handle.

Cabinet Design
Step 1
Version 0.8.0 · one cabinet taken all the way to the cutting machine
Model parametric cabinets in SketchUp and output “clean panels” that DIM CNC reads directly — no redrawing.
- Library of parametric cabinets measured from the workshop’s real cabinets; resize by typing the offset
- Interlocking-joint drawers; front rail notches the sides automatically
- Overlay or inset doors; hinges including oval cup hinges
- Cam connectors generated by workshop rules, no overlapping holes
- Edge banding: 4 edges on drawer fronts, handle edges, 3 edges on overlay tops
- Back panel grooves to size; one solid per panel, machining marks printed on the face
Limitations: No counter or desk templates yet. Hinges don’t yet avoid connector holes. The Create Cabinet panel is still being smoothed out.

Shop Drawing

A3 drawing sets and quantity tables from the same model, for quoting and for the workshop.
- A3 drawing set (.layout + PDF), title block, grid
- Quantity tables per module and per panel; material table
- Material check before export
- Hand-edited files are never overwritten; a dated backup is saved automatically
Limitations: Version 2.8.7 has not passed functional acceptance yet.

One update channel for every computer. Install once; the plugins share the “DIM Concept” toolbar.
- Only approved releases; SHA-256 check of every package and file
- Backup before replacing; a power cut mid-update still leaves exactly 1 working version
- Applied only when SketchUp is closed; can roll back to the previous version
- One-file installer, removes old plugins
Limitations: The release list is not digitally signed yet.

- Currently builds 1 type: desk with drawer units
