Model cabinets from the parametric library

Create cabinets, resize, add drawers, doors and hinges with the Cabinet Design plugin.

The Cabinet Design plugin has 6 buttons: Create cabinet · Create door · Drawer · Create panel · Mortise · Hinge.

Create and resize cabinets

  • Pick a template from the parametric library (measured from the workshop’s real cabinets) and place it in the model.
  • Resize by typing the offset; press TAB to switch to typing the size.
  • If you use SketchUp’s Scale tool on a cabinet, the plugin switches to DIM resizing automatically.

Drawers, doors, hinges

  • Drawers use interlocking joints by default; the front rail notches the sides automatically.
  • Create door: overlay or inset.
  • Hinges include oval cup hinges. Hinges don’t yet avoid cam holes automatically: if they overlap, move the hinge by hand.

Cam connectors and edge banding are generated by workshop rules. The result is “clean panels” that DIM CNC reads directly.
